We hope this letter finds you in good health and well-being. We are writing to inform you of an important update regarding the procedure following your allergy shots.

Starting March 1, 2025, we will be asking all patients to remain in the office for 25 minutes after receiving their allergy shots. This change is being implemented in response to recommendations from the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI), which advises that patients wait in the office for 25 minutes following their allergy injection.

Studies have shown that the majority of systemic reactions to allergy shots occur within the first 30 minutes of receiving the injection, and staying in the office for this period helps us ensure your safety. By waiting on-site, our healthcare team can quickly address any reactions, should they occur, and provide appropriate care.

We understand that this may require some adjustment to your schedule, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize your health and safety.
