Julie Gillen-Zinsmeister is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a special interest in asthma, allergies and public health. She earned her Bachelor of Science of Nursing at San Jose State University and her Master of Science at Mount Carmel College of Nursing.
Julie is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and has practiced in critical care and public health settings with adults and children. She also had the opportunity to practice outside the U.S. in Germany and Malaysia, where she and her family lived for a short time. This allowed her to work with very diverse populations and gain knowledge that continues to positively impact interactions with her patients today.
Julie trained extensively with Dr. Andrew Dang, Dr. Gita Patel, and Dr. Meenakshi Rana in the field of allergy, asthma, and immunology. She is a firm believer in collaborating with her patients and encouraging them to be active participants in their own care. With her extensive knowledge in allergies and asthma, critical care and family and public health, Julie able to provide extraordinary and comprehensive care to patients of all ages.
When she’s not working, Julie likes to hang out with her three kids, cook, garden, travel, root for THE Ohio State Buckeyes and spend time with her family and friends.
