Benjamin Boerner, CNP is a nationally board-certified family nurse practitioner with experience in a variety of fields, including pediatrics, adults, geriatrics, asthma, allergy, cardiac, and complex care.
Benjamin graduated from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in Health and Rehabilitation along with a Bachelor’s in Science in Nursing from Ashland University. He earned his Master of Science from Mount Carmel College of Nursing and graduated with honors. Benjamin is an active member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as well as Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Benjamin began his nursing career at Mount Carmel West working on the cardiac intermediate care unit, where he was a charge nurse and lead preceptor for 3 years. While working at Mount Carmel West, he also worked as a contingent nurse at Nationwide Children’s hospital in the cardiac clinic. Benjamin spent his last two years as a nurse working at Nationwide Children’s Hospital on the Pulmonary Complex Care inpatient unit.
Benjamin trained extensively with Dr. Dang, Dr. Patel, and Jessica Brown CNP in the field of allergy, asthma, and immunology. With his extensive knowledge in pediatrics, adult health, asthma, and primary care, Benjamin is able to provide extraordinary comprehensive patient-centered care to people of all ages. Benjamin is passionate about shared decision making as well as educating and advocating for his patients. Special interests include asthma, allergic rhinitis, immunotherapy, and oral allergy syndrome.
Benjamin resides in Upper Arlington with his wife, Erica, and their English Bulldog, Suzanne. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, fishing, gardening, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family.
